ONE MILLION TO GO: HELP US COMPLETE THE MCA CAPITAL CAMPAIGN |
The MCA is launching a campaign to raise the remaining one million dollars for the museum's $53 million redevelopment. All donations go towards the creation of innovative and invaluable education facilities that will allow Australia's current and future generations to discover, explore and embrace contemporary creativity. They also contribute to the MCA's extended and refurbished exhibition spaces.
Donors that pledge $20000 or more will be listed on the Building Donor Wall in the new foyer in perpetuity.
All donors who give over $1000 toward the project will have their name included in an animated text based video art work by Brisbane-based artist Grant Stevens. This inventive piece, commissioned by the MCA to become part of the museum's collection, will be on display in the MCA's new foyer for one year after reopening and will include a clever narrative script that explores the nature of human social interaction.
